Nijigen Wish List (Last Updated: March 10th, 2004)

Battle: suggestions about the way the battle system works.

Creatures: suggestions to do with the way creatures interact, fight, et cetera.
- None listed.
Magic: suggestions in regard to magic; how spells are cast, magic training, spell types, et cetera.
- Remote healing spells: caster - "Asoto's hands flow with a white light, which takes the form of a white bird, and the bird flies off in search of %USERNAME%" ... receiver - "A white bird flies over toward you, landing on your head and disipating in a bright flash of light, which heals you for AMOUNT" ... where the power of the spell is based on the distance of the caster from the receiver. Possible spell: "winged light, help %USERNAME% in their plight, attend their need, go with speed!" (Circ/Asoto)
Items: suggestions about item types and how they may work.
- Ability to hire specialty traders, for most items. These items will have to be marked in the MRPG file, like sptrad_1000=1 or 0 (new .hirewholesaler [item] command). (Unknown)
- Capacity to inflate/deflate item prices on specialty traders/wholesalers from within the MRPG as necessary, based on supply and demand. (Sharad)
- Differentiate between items held in hands, and items stored in backpacks, satchels, et cetera. (Circ)
General Actions: suggestions for general actions, such as changes to .look, .throw, et cetera.
- Catch - add a .catch [item] command for thrown objects (such as .throw rice). When item falls to the ground, it becomes damaged (oranges become bruised oranges). (Rym)
- Evade - modify the .evade command so that when an item is thrown at you, or an arrow shot, you have the opportunity to move out of the way before struck (maybe luck should also be a factor in that). (Rym)
- A .stalk command, to follow one cell behind a person. If they search, "You have the eerie feeling you are being watched." ... (Tenshi)
Locations: suggestions about location related information, area damage, collectable land resources, trading, recipes, et cetera.
- Allow for digging tunnels and building structures with wood and stone (will affect strength of structure.). (Shinji, Circ, Waador)
- When the land owner is set to a clan name, everyone in the clan has access to the resources of that cell of land. The clan leader would be the only one who could change the ownership of the land. (Circ)
Training: suggestions about training, levels required, removing skills, et cetera.
- No entries.
Other: suggestions such as machines, and other things that really don't fit into the above categories.
- Ships, several linking cells combined to form a ship, to allow characters to travel across the vast oceans of Nijigen. (And I do mean vast!) (Shinji, Saora, Waador)
- Environment, where the wind will blow you around as you fly, set your path as you sail, affect your stamina-per move, and trap you indoors due to a heavy snow! It should stand to make things very interesting. (Circ)
- Traps, such as settable booby traps to guard your precious treasure hoard, or something evil waiting in a cave. (Circ)
- Realistic player-run government, giving users with the ability to run actual Niji-governments, so they may set allies and enemies, hire officials and landlords to help govern the kingdoms, and submit invitations for others to join their kingdom. (Circ)
- Better quests, like keys that can only be picked up and used (no selling or giving), numeric locks, key locks, items that appear every now and then in certain locations requiring travelling to that location and going through the quest to get them. (Shinji, Skaarj)
- Random incidents while travelling, based on luck and travelling habits. Examples: "While walking through the streets of the city, a merchant bumps into you with his cart, doing 5 damage. He apologizes, and leaves you be." and "A streak of lightning flashes across the sky, doing 568 damage." (Asoto/Manic Fox)
- Requiring a certain amount of experience before players can throw enchanted discs, or other items. That way, 0 experience players can't sit at the portal attacking others with discs, without fear of retaliation. (Rym)
- Messages indicating a change in your stamina, eg: while walking or fighting, if you get to a certain point it says "You are starting to feel tired." (Circ)

- Arrows, to be able to fire an arrow (from a quiver holding 8-10 arrows) into the same or an adjacent cell. (partially implemented) (Shinji, Circ)

- Spells to enchant items with elemental effects, eg: wooden arrow can become ice-shard arrow, which freezes somebody when fired at and striking them. (Asoto)
Items: suggestions about item types and how they may work.
- Bulk item processing command, e.g.: ".get oranges, 3"; including .get ALL, .drop ALL, et cetera. (Lei Wulong, Circ)
Traders: suggestions regarding traders, how items are displayed, recipes, et cetera.
- Allow a single item to be purchased out of an existing group (eg: one arrow out of a pack). (Shinji)
- Auto-deflation of prices: When a trader already has an item, the next similar item sold could be purchased by the trader at 50% value, the second at 33%, and the third at 12%. (Sharad)
Locations: suggestions about location related information, area damage, collectable land resources, trading, recipes, et cetera.
- Digging, such that a character can depress a cell (owned by themself), to the end of making a basement, tunnel, or some other underground entity. (Shinji)
- Building, so that a character can add a few extra levels on top of their land. (Shinji)
- Land-types that degenerate items with a time-ticker, eventually reducing them to nothing, such as Lava burning a cloth shirt to nothing in a few moments, or melting a breastplate into nothing over an hour. (Rym)
Other: suggestions such as machines, and other things that really don't fit into the above categories.
- ..sit and .sit, along with ..lay and .lay to be added; different positions will affect ones stamina recovery and susceptability to being attacked. ..sit and ..lay will be to set the description for what one is sitting or laying on, eg: ..sit by the roadside will cause .sit (on that cell) to display: "You sit by the roadside." (Circ)
- Create banks as currency exchange centers, to make it possible for each kingdom to have its own currency (this will later allow for things like inflation, based on how well governments are run). (Circ)
- A rqurtrnr tag, for people who want to create improvements on skills. For example, there can be various styles of sword forms branching from kendo, eg: hiten mitsurugi ryuu. (Circ)
